About WESTERN LANDOWNERS ALLIANCE

Western Landowners Alliance (WLA) is a Denver-based, membership-driven 501(c)(3) organization that represents private landowners, ranch managers and land stewards across the Western United States. The organization is nonpartisan and focuses on practical stewardship, policy engagement, research, and peer-to-peer knowledge exchange to support economically viable working lands and resilient ecosystems.

WLA runs stewardship tours and events, publishes the magazine On Land and a series of stewardship films, and produces policy briefs and research for landowner audiences. In recent years it has published multi-state analyses of landowner conservation investment, engaged in federal and state policy discussions related to water and land stewardship, and convened landowner-focused retreats and technical exchanges to scale practical conservation solutions.
