About Sustainable Purchasing Council, Inc. (d.b.a. Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council — SPLC)

The Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council (SPLC) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that advances sustainable procurement across sectors by providing guidance, training, peer networks, and practical tools for purchasers and suppliers. SPLC works with hundreds of institutional members and volunteers to develop guidance, toolkits, and collaborative programs that help organizations reduce supply-chain impacts and move markets toward more sustainable products and services.

In recent years SPLC has expanded sector-focused initiatives (notably healthcare-focused CHARME), launched learning and diagnostic tools (including the SPLC Navigator and a Learning Hub), and produced procurement toolkits that address real-world decisions (for example, a launderable isolation gowns toolkit for healthcare). The organization maintains regular public filings and active programming and is donor-facing with membership and training revenue supporting its operations and programs.
