About HAWAII STATE CHAPTER OF CHILDRENS JUSTICE CENTERS
The Hawaii State Chapter of Children's Justice Centers (Hawaii CJC) is a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit that unites Hawaiʻi’s five Children's Justice Centers and their nonprofit "Friends" groups to minimize trauma and promote better outcomes for child abuse victims. The Chapter provides statewide coordination, training, public education, and fundraising to support child‑focused forensic interviews, multidisciplinary team responses, medical and mental health referrals, and victim advocacy across all islands. Hawaii CJC operates using the nationally recognized Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) / Children’s Justice Center (CJC) model, working closely with the Hawaiʻi State Judiciary and local CJCs to deliver child‑first services, professional training, and community outreach aimed at preventing abuse and improving the investigation, prosecution, and recovery process for children and families.
