About PLUMPJACK FOUNDATION

PlumpJack Foundation is a San Francisco–based donor-facing public charity that directs fundraising and grantmaking toward two primary focus areas: cancer prevention, education & support, and preventing the cycle of childhood poverty through early education and youth services. The Foundation coordinates year-round fundraising across PlumpJack businesses (restaurants, inns, tasting rooms and retail) and operates signature annual events — most notably the PlumpJack/LINK Golf Classic — to generate grants and partner support for Bay Area cancer and youth-focused organizations. Since its inception, the Foundation and its events have raised multi‑million dollars for cancer research and local social-service partners. In recent years the Foundation has maintained active monthly initiatives and partnerships (supporting beneficiaries such as local cancer initiatives, the SF LGBT Center youth services and community childhood-poverty organizations), continued its business-driven point-of-sale giving programs, and resumed its long-running Golf Classic (announced for April 27, 2026) after a brief pause in 2025.

Notable achievements

Long-running Golf Classic fundraiser

The PlumpJack/LINK Golf Classic (first hosted in 1999) is the Foundation’s flagship event; across more than two decades the tournament has raised millions for breast cancer research, and the Foundation marked the return of the event with a 25th-anniversary edition scheduled for April 27, 2026.

Integrated business fundraising model

PlumpJack Foundation leverages a network of PlumpJack-owned businesses (cafes, inns, tasting rooms and retail) that contribute a portion of product or reservation proceeds year-round to designated monthly beneficiaries, providing a steady pipeline of community support.

Sustained grantmaking to local partners

The Foundation makes targeted grants and in-kind support to Bay Area partners focused on cancer prevention/education and childhood poverty prevention, and has established multi-year collaborations with organizations involved in breast cancer screening, patient support programs and youth services.
