VIOLAS HOUSE

Viola’s House is a Dallas-based nonprofit that provides maternity housing, emergency placement, and wraparound social services to pregnant and parenting teens and young adults, especially those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The organization combines stable short-term housing with case management, parenting education, job-readiness training, benefit enrollment assistance, and health coordination. Founded as a maternity home in 2008 and incorporated as a 501(c)(3), Viola’s House focuses on trauma-informed, prosocial supports such as the “Earn While You Learn” curriculum and the Baby Benefit Boutique to help young parents transition to independent living. In recent years the organization has expanded mobile services and piloted transitional housing to reach more families across Dallas and the Rio Grande Valley. Viola’s House operates with a mix of program delivery and community partnerships to address social drivers of health for underserved mothers and their infants, and reports multi-year growth in service volume and institutional funding that support its shelter and community outreach programs.
