HOPE FOR THE HURTING

Hope For The Hurting is a Los Angeles–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit (founded 2012) that provides recovery-focused services for people affected by substance use and related mental-health challenges. Its core programs combine residential recovery residences, residential in‑patient treatment, mental-health counseling, peer support and community partnerships. In the last 2–3 years the organization expanded its residential capacity: it opened Elevate Recovery (a women’s residential facility, opened Spring 2022) and Monarch Recovery (a second women’s residential facility, opened Summer 2023, with capacity reported up to 24 residents). The organization also operates Beacon of Hope, a faith-based sober residence for men, and partners with local treatment and recovery providers to deliver integrated services. Hope For The Hurting files annual Form 990s, maintains a public web presence with program details and donation options, and positions itself as a donor-facing charity supporting long-term recovery housing and evidence-based treatment services.
