About L'Arche Northern Colorado (L'Arche NOCO)
L’Arche Northern Colorado is a local community of the international L’Arche network that creates inclusive residential and community life where people with and without intellectual disabilities live, work and share life together.
The organization is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 46-4029564) focused on launching residential services, building accessible homes, and growing community relationships through outreach, volunteer engagement and capacity-building campaigns.
Notable achievements
First L'Arche home opened
Celebrated the opening of L’Arche NOCO’s first home with a public 'Open the Door' event on May 29, 2025, marking the community's transition from planning to active residential life.
Major capital progress and property development
Purchased building lots, completed home designs, secured construction financing and advanced permitting and builder selection, moving two planned homes into construction planning during 2024–2025.
Organizational approvals and staffing
Received state approval to launch residential and community-based IDD services and hired the community’s first staff (Community Leader) to grow programming and operations.
