About WHAT IF WE COULD (d/b/a The Novus Academy)
What If We Could operates as The Novus Academy, a nonprofit K–12 school that provides individualized, evidence-based instruction and social-emotional supports for students with learning differences (dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum, executive-function deficits, mild anxiety/depression, etc.). The organization serves families across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex through small-group, multi-sensory instruction, individualized learning plans, and transition planning for older students. In recent years the school relocated from Grapevine to a dedicated facility in Southlake and operates as a 501(c)(3) with a public donor-facing web presence.
Notable achievements
Relocated and expanded facility (Southlake, 2024–2025)
The organization completed a planned relocation from Grapevine to 2250 E. Continental Blvd, Southlake, moving into a larger leased facility and completing required permits and occupancy work to support expanded programming and classroom space.
Sustained specialized K–12 programming
Maintained an accredited, evidence-based K–12 program serving roughly 50+ students with learning differences, delivering individualized learning plans, social-emotional supports, and transition planning for upper-school students.
Institutional accreditation and school network recognition
Achieved and publicizes external accreditation/membership credentials (Cognia and TEPSAC badges on the school website) and participates in regional fundraising platforms and school-choice programs to broaden access.
