Falcon Academic Boosters
Falcon Academic Boosters (FAB) is the 501(c)(3) fundraising arm of Highlands Ranch High School (HRHS), created to raise funds that improve academic achievement and enrich the learning experience for all HRHS students. The organization’s IRS ruling year is 2014 and it operates as a parent-led board that awards teacher grant requests and supports school-wide academic programs.
About Falcon Academic Boosters
Falcon Academic Boosters raises money to fund teacher grants, classroom resources, and school programs at Highlands Ranch High School (grades 9–12, serving roughly 1,200 students). The board is made up of elected parents who review grant requests and direct funds to areas of greatest academic need.
In recent years (2022 through the 2024–2025 school year) FAB has focused on fulfilling teacher grant requests and supporting after-school tutoring, classroom technology, and student supports such as a calm-down/mental-health space. Typical grant-funded items have included textbooks and AP materials, classroom technology (3D printers, laser printers, telescopes), language-class equipment, and experiential learning (field trips).
Notable achievements
Classroom technology and equipment grants
Funded the purchase of items such as 3D printers, a laser printer for engineering, desktop telescopes for astronomy, and language-class audio equipment to expand hands-on and technology-driven learning.
Support for student mental health and tutoring
Contributed to the creation/support of a calm-down space through the Counseling Department and funded after-school tutoring programs to assist at-risk students (noted activity in 2022–2025).
Experiential and enrichment funding
Provided grants for experiential learning (for example, a cadaver field trip for anatomy), AP course materials, and club support such as publishing the Creative Writing Club magazine.
