FAMILY HUI HAWAII (Family Hui Hawaiʻi)
To support, encourage, and empower families to meet the challenges of raising children by providing a safe and nurturing environment for them to grow, thrive, and learn from each other.
About FAMILY HUI HAWAII (Family Hui Hawaiʻi)
Family Hui Hawaiʻi is a Honolulu‑based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that runs peer‑led parenting support groups and family engagement programs for parents and caregivers of children from prenatal through age five. Its model (Neighborhood Hui, Parent Cafés, Hui in the Workplace, texting and screening tools) centers community peer‑support, early childhood development practices, and culturally grounded approaches to strengthen protective factors and prevent child abuse and neglect.
The organization operates statewide on Oʻahu, Maui, Hawaiʻi Island, Kauaʻi and Molokaʻi through partnerships with hospitals, recovery centers, schools, employers, and community agencies. In recent years Family Hui Hawaiʻi has expanded workplace and early‑learning partnerships, responded with trauma‑informed virtual supports after the 2024 Maui wildfires, and increased its reach through signature fundraising and public‑sector funding collaborations.
