About FORT COLLINS MODERN QUILT GUILD
Fort Collins Modern Quilt Guild is a local chapter of the modern quilting community that organizes monthly meetings, sew days, retreats, workshops and quilt shows to support quilting education, peer learning, and creative practice. The organization operates as a nonprofit chapter affiliated with the Modern Quilt Guild network and is registered with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) (EIN: 46-4614961).
Over the last 2–3 years the guild has maintained an active program of member education (guest speakers and workshops), community-facing exhibitions and collaborative group quilts, and periodic community service/charity sewing projects across the Fort Collins/Larimer County area.
Notable achievements
Larimer County Fair 2024 — Outstanding Group Quilt
Members collaborated on a large group quilt that was recognized as the Outstanding Group Quilt in the 2024 Larimer County Open Class.
Member exhibitions at regional venues
Guild members have shown work in regional fiber-art events and museum/gallery exhibitions on the Colorado Front Range in recent years.
Sustained local programming (2022–2024)
Continued delivery of monthly programs, traveling bee events, and workshops (including documented guest-led programs and workshops in 2023).
