Just As I Am Youth Empowerment (JAIA YOUth) is a Brooklyn-based 501(c)(3) youth development organization that delivers evidence-informed mental health literacy, mindfulness, and leadership programs for adolescents and young adults. Its core offerings include the Mindful Leaders Institute, the Healthy Mind, Healthy Vibes arts-based wellness program, and training programs for youth and adults. JAIA YOUth focuses on peer leadership, youth-led curriculum, stipends and workforce experiences, and partnerships with schools and community organizations. Expanded youth workforce and training

In recent program years JAIA has employed youth in paid summer workspaces, provided peer-educator training (over 75 hours reported), and logged large volunteer contributions (more than 1,300 volunteer hours reported), strengthening youth economic and leadership opportunities.

Program adoption and curriculum dissemination

JAIA's youth-designed curricula have been adopted in new Brooklyn school communities and the organization's youth leaders have presented program work at regional mental health summits and conferences, expanding JAIA's influence beyond direct service sites.
