About RAISING THE STANDARD FOUNDATION

Raising the Standard Foundation (RTSF) is a Fort Worth, Texas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on youth development through mentorship, STEM exposure, scholarship awards, and a long-running high school recognition program. Its signature programs include the High School Seniors' Recognition (HSSR) program, the Girls Math & Science AKAdemy (a STEM program), and the Silhouettes girls' mentoring program. The foundation partners with the Beta Mu Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., local housing and community organizations, and corporate sponsors to deliver programming and scholarships.

2025 Scholarship & Awards Cycle

In the 2025 High School Seniors' Recognition program RTSF supported 27 honorees with approximately $34,000 in scholarships and distributed over $24,000 in cash incentives and gifts; participants completed more than 100 hours of community service during the program cycle.

Longstanding recognition program & cumulative scholarships

Through its High School Seniors' Recognition program (originating with Beta Mu Omega in 1976 and continued by RTSF), the organization and its partners have awarded collectively more than $500,000 in scholarships, cash awards, and gifts to local students over multiple decades.

Program reach and service delivery
