About Bardola (operating as bardoLA)

bardoLA produces traveling exhibitions, public projects, and collaborative programs that aim to erase geographic, political, and cultural borders through art. The organization curates interdisciplinary projects and partnerships to amplify underrepresented artists and encourage creative risk-taking.

While headquartered in Los Angeles, bardoLA carries out international work and fiscal sponsorship for kindred projects; in recent years it has expanded into film production with the establishment of a sister production entity (bardoBG, 2024) and has continued program activity and public-facing resources supporting the Los Angeles arts community.

Notable achievements

Three Biennale Collateral Events

Presented official Collateral Events at La Biennale di Venezia (Biennale Arte) in 2015, 2019, and 2022, bringing Los Angeles artists to major international audiences.

Pyramids of Giza installation

Produced large-scale, site-specific artwork projects presented at the Giza Pyramids, extending the organization's public international programming.

Expanded production capacity (bardoBG)

Established a sister production company (bardoBG) in 2024 to support film and television projects and to broaden the organization's international creative output.
