DSTL ARTS

DSTL Arts is a Los Angeles–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 47-1509200, tax-exempt since 2014) focused on literary and visual arts mentorship for emerging artists from underserved communities. The organization runs a Poet/Artist Development Program, publishes community zines (Art Block, Aurtistic, Conchas y Café), operates a Mobile Art Lab to increase access to digital production tools, and produces a monthly podcast highlighting participants and local artists. In the last 2–3 years DSTL Arts has received public arts funding and operating support, expanded paid teaching-artist internships, continued publishing annual zines centered on community and neurodivergent artists, and maintained virtual workshop content and recordings for wider access. The organization emphasizes workforce development for artists, bilingual programming, and publishing opportunities that move participants toward paid creative work.
