About FOODCYCLE (FoodCycle LA)

FoodCycle (operating as FoodCycle LA) is a Los Angeles–based 501(c)(3) food recovery nonprofit that rescues surplus edible food from grocery stores, restaurants, markets, and distributors and delivers it to community partners that serve people experiencing food insecurity. The organization combines volunteer-driven logistics with technology (electric vehicles, solar-powered refrigeration, and routing apps) to move fresh, culturally relevant food quickly and safely to more than 200 partner agencies across Los Angeles.

The EIN 47-1615623 was verified against the organization’s public Form 990 and nonprofit databases; FoodCycle maintains an active donor-facing website, publishes annual impact and financial reports, and completed an independent audited financial statement for its most recent fiscal year. In recent years FoodCycle has scaled recovery operations, expanded partnerships with municipal agencies and businesses, and advanced the development of a regional food hub to stabilize supply for high-need neighborhoods.
