About HUI O HAUULA

HUI O HAUʻULA is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving the Koʻolauloa district on Oʻahu, based in Hauʻula. The organization manages the Hauʻula Community Center and operates a "Partnership Hub" that hosts programs and partner agencies focused on kupuna services, food security, keiki and ʻohana programming, community building, and disaster preparedness. In the last 2–3 years Hui O Hauʻula has expanded resilience and aging-in-place supports for the North Shore communities, advanced planning and fundraising for a multi-agency resilience hub/community facility, and continued regular local programming (kupuna gatherings, family events, food support and preparedness workshops) that link residents to city, state and philanthropic funding and services.

Established and operates the Hauʻula Community Center as a local Partnership Hub, providing space and coordination for multiple nonprofit and service partners delivering kupuna support, family programming, food-security activities, and community events.

Resilience Hub Planning & Fundraising

Led multi-year planning and fundraising efforts for a community resilience facility to strengthen disaster preparedness and services in Koʻolauloa; the effort has attracted city, state and private support and formal grant applications in recent years.

Sustained Community Programs

Maintained ongoing kupuna services, food-security programming, and keiki/ʻohana events that keep essential supports and civic engagement active in a rural North Shore community during 2023–2025.
