About WALK SAN FRANCISCO FOUNDATION

Walk San Francisco Foundation is a San Francisco-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that advocates for safer, more equitable streets and promotes walking as a healthy, low-carbon way to get around the city. The organization combines policy advocacy, community organizing, research, and public events to press for street redesigns, slower vehicle speeds, and safer routes for children, seniors, people with disabilities, and transit riders. In the last 2–3 years Walk SF has led the Vision Zero Coalition, published impact research on street safety, sponsored statewide vehicle-safety policy work, and continued to run popular public walking events (Peak2Peak and the SF Stair Challenge) that both engage residents and raise funds for their advocacy. The organization maintains regular public reporting (Form 990s and an annual impact report) and an active events/program calendar demonstrating ongoing operations and donor-facing activity.
