Coalitions & Collaboratives (branded COCO) is a Denver-based conservation nonprofit that strengthens place-based collaborative organizations by providing financial, technical, and staff support to coalitions, watershed groups, and local conservation partners. The organization serves as a bridging organization that multiplies grassroots conservation efforts, supports forest-health and fuels-mitigation work, and helps communities recover from and prepare for wildfire and other disturbances. In recent years COCO has grown its program scale and funding: audited 2022 financial statements show total revenue and support of approximately $3.12 million and program service spending of about $2.39 million, with audited total assets near $985,000. COCO’s 2021–2023 activity emphasizes collaborative development, forest health and fuels mitigation, habitat work, and grant-making to local coalitions across multiple states.
