About United States Center for SafeSport

The U.S. Center for SafeSport is an independent nonprofit (501(c)(3)) authorized by federal law to receive, investigate, and resolve reports of abuse and misconduct within the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement. citeturn0search8turn0search1

Federal Authorization and Establishment

Created and authorized by Congress under the Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act to serve as the independent authority for abuse prevention and response in the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement.

Established a public disciplinary/sanctions registry and adjudicative processes that allow the Center to issue sanctions and maintain records of prohibited individuals.
