About Reptile & Amphibian Center of the Rockies
Reptile & Amphibian Center of the Rockies (RACR) is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the Northern Colorado / Fort Collins area that provides education, rescue and rehabilitation services for captive and wild herpetofauna while advancing conservation and public understanding.
Founded as the Northern Colorado Herpetological Society in 2015 and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2017, RACR operates outreach and school programs, runs a foster-based rescue and adoption program, partners with veterinary and conservation institutions, and is pursuing a permanent public education facility to expand its impact.

Transitioned from a community society to a formally recognized 501(c)(3) organization (incorporated as a nonprofit after founding activity began in 2015).
Expanded foster-based rescue program
