First Southwest Community Fund (FSWCF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports the entrepreneurial spirit of rural Colorado by investing in people, culture, and ideas and by expanding equitable access to capital for those historically excluded from traditional lending.
About First Southwest Community Fund
Founded in 2015 and affiliated with First Southwest Bank’s community development work, FSWCF provides flexible, low-cost loan products, program grants, and educational resources to support small businesses, startups, nonprofits, and community infrastructure across rural Colorado.
FSWCF operates gap‑filling and targeted financing programs (including funds for women‑led and BIPOC entrepreneurs) and partners with banks, public funders, and regional organizations to leverage capital and technical assistance that creates and retains local jobs.
In recent years FSWCF has expanded program offerings (including microloan programs and catalytic funds) and published annual impact reporting documenting increased lending activity and measurable support for hundreds of rural businesses.
