About KKIS Incorporated
The KKIS Project (Keeping Kids in School) is a binational education nonprofit founded to remove economic and social barriers that keep promising students from finishing high school and pursuing higher education in the Riviera Maya. The organization pairs financial support with wraparound services (mentoring, counseling, English classes and career connections) so students can stay in school and graduate prepared for work or university.
KKIS operates in both the United States and Mexico: KKIS Incorporated is organized as a U.S. 501(c)(3) (EIN 47-3231264) and works closely with KKIS Project A.C. in Mexico to issue tax-deductible receipts locally and implement programs on the ground. In recent years KKIS has expanded scholarship numbers, corporate partnerships, and volunteer-driven events to increase local impact.
Notable achievements
Sustained scholarship reach
KKIS has grown its scholarship programs to support well over a hundred students annually (recent reporting shows substantial year-to-year growth in supported students).
Major corporate support (2024)
Received significant corporate contributions and event-based support in 2024 (including a large donation and multiple corporate volunteer partnerships) that materially increased available scholarship funding.
High graduation outcomes
KKIS reports markedly higher graduation rates among its scholarship recipients compared with local averages, reflecting the combined effect of financial aid and wraparound services.
