About Catholic Schools Center of Excellence

The Catholic Schools Center of Excellence (CSCOE) is a Minnesota-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that partners with Catholic preschools and K–8 schools across the state to strengthen academic outcomes, increase enrollment, and support school leadership. CSCOE provides a mix of professional development, classroom coaching, centralized programs (literacy, math, STEM, behavior supports), and flexible grant funding tailored to each school's needs. Founded to support Catholic elementary schools, CSCOE now operates at statewide scale, offering targeted programs (for example, the Believe and Read literacy initiative, Thinking Math, a STEM pathway and lending library, the Catalyst behavioral approach) and monthly and special-purpose grants to help schools grow academically and financially. The organization works directly with principals and teachers, emphasizing an opt-in, customized model that preserves each school's Catholic identity while scaling effective practices.
