About ELK MOUNTAINS BACKCOUNTRY ALLIANCE
Elk Mountains Backcountry Alliance (EMBA) is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 47-3648224) that advocates for quiet, human-powered outdoor recreation in the Gunnison Valley and surrounding public lands.
EMBA advances that mission through policy advocacy, research funding (notably a winter user data program), and local education and outreach including member events, farmers market presence, and community screenings and meetings.
