About NORTH METRO FLEX ACADEMY

North Metro Flex Academy is a tuition-free K–8 public charter school based in North St. Paul, Minnesota that serves North St. Paul, Maplewood, East St. Paul and Oakdale. The school operates as an independent charter district and is authorized by Novation Education Opportunities. In recent years the school has published combined Comprehensive Achievement & Civic Readiness and Annual Reports (2023–24), adopted a local READ Act literacy plan for 2024–25, and maintained assessment systems (FastBridge, ACCESS and MCA) to guide individualized instruction. Enrollment has ranged in the low hundreds (roughly 150–215 students across recent school years), and the school reports Title I reading and math supports, English learner services, special education staffing, and a range of before/after-school and extracurricular programs.

Published a Combined Comprehensive Achievement & Civic Readiness Report and an Annual Report for 2023–24 and maintains updated plans (including a 2024–25 READ Act literacy plan) to document performance, goals, and improvement strategies.

Expanded student supports and programming

Implemented multi-tiered assessment and intervention systems (FastBridge, ACCESS, MCA), provides Title I reading/math services, ELL instruction, special education supports, and a variety of before/after-school and extracurricular opportunities (arts, band, athletics, field trips).
