About MARTIS VALLEY EDUCATION FOUNDATION

Martis Valley Education Foundation (MVEF) is a California 501(c)(3) public charity formed to acquire, develop, hold and lease education-focused real property. The foundation acquired a 42-acre site in the Martis Valley region to create a long-term campus resource for Tahoe Expedition Academy (TEA) and similar education uses.

MVEF’s primary role is property ownership and campus development: procuring land, installing infrastructure, and holding assets to secure a stable campus for TEA’s educational programs. In recent years MVEF has been the principal campus owner and development partner for TEA, supporting modular campus occupancy, infrastructure completion, and subsequent fundraising and transfer activity to secure the campus’s long-term future.

MVEF files annual Form 990 returns and reported substantial assets on recent filings (reflecting its role as a property-holding foundation). It operates with few or no full‑time employees and functions primarily as a real‑estate vehicle and long‑term steward for educational use rather than as a direct-service school or program operator.
