About BRIGHTER BITES

Brighter Bites is a Houston-based national nonprofit that delivers fresh fruits and vegetables alongside nutrition education and family-facing programming to children, caregivers, and school communities in under-resourced neighborhoods. The organization operates a school- and community-based model that combines produce distribution, teacher training, and fun food experiences to increase access to produce and build long-term healthy habits. In recent years Brighter Bites has expanded its city footprint, developed Food-is-Medicine partnerships, and refined its data-driven program model to measure behavior change and reach more families. Large-scale produce distribution (2024)

In 2024 Brighter Bites distributed 8,899,399 pounds of fresh produce, delivered 313,838 bags, and reached more than 222,900 students, teachers, and families through its programming.
