About V3 Sports Inc
V3 Sports Inc is a Minneapolis-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that operates The V3 Center, a community wellness, aquatics and fitness facility in North Minneapolis. The organization focuses on water safety, youth programs, fitness classes, and community events designed to increase access to lifelong movement and opportunity for neighborhood residents. Since opening Phase One of The V3 Center in 2024, V3 Sports has delivered thousands of hours of swim instruction, grown memberships, hosted community water-safety programming, and is pursuing additional expansion phases (including a planned 50-meter competition pool) to serve more people and events. The organization partners with local philanthropies, government partners, and community leaders to prioritize equitable access for youth and underrepresented communities of color.
Notable achievements
Phase One grand opening (2024)
Opened the first phase of The V3 Center in North Minneapolis in 2024, launching a 5‑lane teaching pool, a 5,000‑square‑foot fitness floor, group-class programming and youth swim lessons; the facility quickly established daily programming and community use.
Large-scale swim instruction and programming
Reported program impact includes more than 10,000 hours of swim instruction and hundreds of structured swim lessons and water‑safety workshops delivered since the center opened, focused on building water skills and confidence among children and adults.
Community investment and membership growth
Since opening Phase One V3 reports 750+ active memberships, 29,000+ monthly visits, and more than $5.8 million invested into North Minneapolis through facility development, programs, and local partnerships.
