About VICTORY SERVICE DOGS
Founded by veterans in 2015 and operating as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Victory Service Dogs (VSD) trains and places service dogs through a client-focused model that teaches the handler to train alongside their dog in weekly, in-person classes.
VSD offers a no-cost (to the client) Victory Valor track for veterans and first responders and a VictoryKids program (launched 2021) for children with autism, seizure disorders, diabetes, and related needs; typical training timelines are 18–24 months.
Based in Colorado (Colorado Springs/DEN metro area), the organization combines volunteer and community partnerships, donor-supported scholarships, and targeted fundraisers to keep program fees low and expand capacity.

Program growth and graduates
Since founding, VSD has served hundreds of clients and graduated multiple graduating cohorts of service-dog teams (100+ graduated teams and 200+ individuals helped across the organization’s history).
Strong suicide-prevention impact
The organization reports that no veteran enrolled in its program has been lost to suicide since its inception, underscoring the program’s reported mental-health and stabilization benefits.
Large 2024 graduation cohort
In August 2024 VSD graduated one of its largest classes to date, graduating 16 new service-dog teams and expanding local capacity for trained teams.
