100+ Public Concerts
Since its founding in 2015 WHCO has produced more than 100 public performances—many low-cost or free—across Washington Heights and neighboring neighborhoods, increasing local access to live classical and hybrid-genre concerts.
Carnegie Hall Partnership
WHCO partnered with the Dominican Heritage and Culture Society for a performance at Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall, bringing local and uptown artists to a major New York City stage.
New Commissions & Community Productions
The organization has commissioned new and reimagined works (including a bilingual production of Stravinsky’s La Historia del Soldado) and staged community-focused productions that incorporate local musicians, gospel and jazz artists, and neighborhood choirs.
