About MEWATER FOUNDATION INCORPORATED

MeWater Foundation Incorporated is a San Francisco–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that uses surf therapy, overnight camps, and nature-based programming to support historically marginalized and trauma-impacted youth and their families in the Bay Area. The organization pairs mental-health-informed practices with outdoor skill-building and environmental education to increase wellbeing, resilience, and access to coastal experiences for children who otherwise lack them. MeWater operates surf days, overnight camping trips, family programming, and school/community partnerships across multiple Bay Area counties, and emphasizes volunteer mentorship and youth leadership. In recent years the organization expanded family-inclusive programming and exchange opportunities (including an exchange with partners in New York) and strengthened multi-year partnerships with local social-service organizations. MeWater maintains an active donor-facing web presence, publishes an annual impact report, and files regular IRS Form 990s as a tax-exempt charity, positioning it as an operating, donor-facing nonprofit serving Bay Area youth and families.
