About DOGPATCH & NORTHWEST POTRERO HILL GREEN BENEFIT DISTRICT
The Dogpatch & Northwest Potrero Hill Green Benefit District (GBD) is a property-owner formed 501(c)(3) nonprofit that manages neighborhood greening, park maintenance, and public-realm improvements in two zones of San Francisco’s Dogpatch and northwest Potrero Hill. Established in 2015 as a pilot model for a Green Benefit District, the organization raises assessment revenue to fund landscape maintenance, trash removal and graffiti abatement, capital improvements, and neighborhood advocacy. In recent years the GBD has supported multiple capital and maintenance projects (including work on Esprit Park, Potrero Gateway Park, the 22nd Street Trail Steps project, and street-tree/sidewalk-garden programs), produced neighborhood programming such as the Dogpatch Music Series, and completed the City renewal process in 2025 to continue operations through a multi-year assessment period ending in 2040.
