Transparentem is a New York–based investigative nonprofit that documents labor and environmental abuses across global supply chains and uses that evidence to compel remediation by companies, regulators, and investors. The organization conducts in-depth field investigations, publishes public reports, and engages brands, policymakers, and civil-society partners to secure concrete remedies for affected workers and communities. In the last 2–3 years Transparentem has published multiple country- and sector-specific investigations (including work on migrant recruitment fees in Taiwan, follow-up reporting from Mauritius, and field research on child and forced labor in Indian cotton) and has pressed for remediation that resulted in financial reimbursements to workers, returned passports, formal government probes, and corporate commitments to change sourcing or remediation practices. Transparentem is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity and maintains publicly available Form 990 filings and annual reports on its website.
