About HORIZON EDUCATION NETWORK

Horizon Education Network is a Christ-centered, donor-facing 501(c)(3) based in Grand Rapids, Michigan that supports theological schools and ministry training organizations worldwide. The organization acts as a facilitator and curriculum/resource developer, helping partners deliver culturally appropriate online learning in local languages and contexts. In recent years Horizon has expanded its digital capacity and partner network, delivering professional development, course revisions and translations, and technical tools that enable partner schools to run and scale online and blended theological education programs across multiple regions. Horizon maintains regular public financial filings and accepts tax-deductible contributions to support its international training and technology work.

Expanded and sustained partnerships with dozens of theological schools and ministry training organizations across multiple continents; recent program reporting documents service to many partners and impact reaching thousands of faculty, staff and students across more than 100 countries and in multiple languages.

Significant program delivery (2023–2024)

In the most recent reporting years Horizon facilitated multiple professional development courses and provided hundreds of hours of remote training and consultation to partner schools, while investing staff and volunteer time in partner needs assessments and course revisions.

Technology and course-development initiatives

Led development work linking an open-source student information system (OpenSIS) with Moodle, beta-tested with international partners, and completed course revisions and new translations (including programs prepared for Mongolia and Ukraine) to increase partner capacity for online learning.
