About JUSTINS PLACE
JUSTINS PLACE is a Fort Worth, Texas–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on empowering low-income single mothers so their children can thrive. The organization centers its work on The Nest, a two-year supportive housing program that combines stable housing, life groups, family advocacy, job training and trauma-responsive supports.
Justin’s Place operates a holistic, faith-informed model that intentionally pairs housing with mentoring, classes, and advocacy to move families toward self-sufficiency and out of generational poverty. Opened The Nest (24 supportive units)
Developed and launched The Nest — a 24-unit (12‑duplex) deeply affordable supportive housing community for single mothers and their children. Construction milestones in project documents show construction completed July 1, 2024 and units made available August 1, 2024.
Secured $3,000,000 in public ARPA funding (September 2023)
In September 2023 Justin’s Place secured a combined $3,000,000 allocation from Tarrant County and the City of Fort Worth (each contributing $1.5M) to develop The Nest, enabling the creation of 24 deeply affordable supportive housing units.
Launched a 2‑year resident support model
Implemented a structured two‑year program for resident families that pairs stable housing (rent at ~30% of income) with life groups, family advocacy, job training, financial literacy and trauma‑responsive services to support long-term stability and independence.
