About CIRCUIT TRAIL CONSERVANCY

Circuit Trail Conservancy (doing business as The Loop Dallas) is a Dallas-based nonprofit formed to complete and steward a 50-mile network of connected trails around the city’s urban core. It serves as the private fundraising and delivery partner to the City of Dallas, coordinating private donors, public agencies and contractors to design and build trail segments, plazas and connectors. The organization focuses on connecting historically underserved neighborhoods to parks, transit, and economic opportunity through high-quality active-transportation infrastructure. Since formalizing a public–private partnership with the City of Dallas, The Loop Dallas has advanced multiple projects from planning into construction and public use within the last 2–3 years.

Notable achievements

Trinity Forest Spine Trail — Phase II opened

Secured major federal and public funding

Helped secure a $12 million federal RAISE grant and leveraged additional public partner investments (state, county and city funds) to fund multi‑million-dollar trail phases.

Catalyzed public investment through private fundraising

Raised early private campaign funds (including a cited $10M early fundraising milestone) that unlocked substantial public matching and investment to accelerate construction across the Loop network.
