FOCUS Humanitarian Assistance, U.S.A. (FOCUS USA) is the U.S.-based unit of the international FOCUS network and an affiliated agency of the Aga Khan Development Network. The organization delivers disaster preparedness, emergency response, recovery and migration/resettlement assistance in both international contexts (notably South Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East and Europe) and domestically across the United States. FOCUS USA operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with regular audited financial statements and IRS Form 990 filings. In recent years the organization has combined direct emergency relief (shelter, non-food items and tents) with longer-term resilience work such as community training, early-warning systems and migration/refugee support programs. FOCUS USA works primarily through local partnerships, volunteer networks, and AKDN agencies to scale emergency response and community-based disaster risk reduction while also funding and administering migration and resettlement assistance for displaced populations.
