National Association for Proton Therapy

The National Association for Proton Therapy (NAPT) is a U.S.-based nonprofit membership and advocacy organization established in 1990 that represents proton therapy centers, clinicians, patient advocates, and industry partners. NAPT’s work focuses on education, public policy and payer advocacy, member services, and patient-facing resources to expand access to proton therapy and support collaborative research. In addition to advocacy and policy engagement, NAPT runs an active resource center for patients and providers, hosts the annual National Proton Conference, convenes research forums, and operates a Foundation focused on education and research. Over the last 2–3 years NAPT has published member surveys and advocacy reports, produced toolkits for denials/appeals, and promoted multi‑center clinical data initiatives to strengthen the evidence base for proton therapy.
