Denton County Master Gardener Association

The Denton County Master Gardener Association (DCMGA) is an all-volunteer, donor-facing 501(c)(3) community organization sponsored by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension that delivers research-based gardening education, public workshops, youth programming, and hands-on community projects across Denton County. In 2024 DCMGA reported 323 active volunteers who contributed 40,542 volunteer hours across 41 projects, reached more than 6,600 residents through workshops and outreach, and invested nearly 9,000 continuing-education hours to maintain a high standard of horticultural expertise. That year the association adopted a five-year Strategic Vision, launched a Junior Master Gardener program at Shiloh Field, and expanded signature offerings such as Earth-Kind® Design courses, the Garden Tour, and community garden partnerships.
