About International Society of Amyloidosis
The International Society of Amyloidosis (ISA) is a professional, donor-facing nonprofit focused on advancing research, education, diagnosis and clinical care for all forms of amyloidosis. The Society brings together scientists, clinicians, patients and allied stakeholders to develop best practices, produce guidelines, and host scientific meetings. ISA operates globally but maintains a U.S. administrative presence and is organized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Biennial International Symposium on Amyloidosis

Updated nomenclature & clinical guidelines
ISA committees have produced and published updated amyloid nomenclature and expert clinical guidelines in recent years, including a 2024 nomenclature update and new management guidance for hereditary ATTR amyloidosis (2026), strengthening diagnostic and treatment standards worldwide.
