About Sports Made Possible (doing business as Miracle League of Metro Denver)
Founded in the mid-2000s as Sports Made Possible (originally The Mile High Miracle League), the organization builds inclusive baseball opportunities and accessible playing facilities for people with disabilities and their families. In 2017 it affiliated with The Miracle League and today operates as Miracle League of Metro Denver while retaining Sports Made Possible as a legal name.
MLMD runs seasonal adaptive baseball programs at an ADA-accessible synthetic field (Valverde Park), partners with Denver Parks & Recreation and Life-Line Colorado for site operations, and relies on volunteers, community sponsors, and athlete-sponsorships to keep participation affordable. Recent organizational activity includes relocating league play to Valverde Park in 2024 and running active spring and fall seasons through 2024–2025.
Notable achievements
Jason Jennings Adaptive Field (2006)
Completed construction of an adaptive, synthetic-surface baseball field to enable safe, wheelchair-accessible play for athletes with mobility and sensory needs.
Affiliation with The Miracle League (2017)
Formally affiliated with the national Miracle League network to strengthen program model and community recognition while continuing local operations.
Relocated to Valverde Park (2024)
Moved league play to Denver Parks & Recreation’s Valverde Park to take advantage of a fully accessible synthetic field, lighting, and improved facilities for athletes and families.
