About NORTHEAST FLORIDA SAFETY COUNCIL INC

The Northeast Florida Safety Council (NEFSC) is a long-established 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to prevent accidents and safety hazards on the road and in the community. Founded in 1942, NEFSC operates driver improvement and DUI education programs, special supervision services for hardship licenses, workplace safety training, and school- and community-based prevention education.

NEFSC serves multiple counties across northeast Florida from three regional facilities and delivers classroom and community programs for students, families, employers, and individuals affected by impaired-driving offenses. The organization maintains state-approved programs (including Special Supervision Services) and partners with local and federal agencies on traffic- and workplace-safety initiatives.

Recent years have shown NEFSC continuing active program delivery and regular nonprofit filings; the organization reports that program services comprise the majority of its operating revenue and it files annual Form 990 returns as an operating, donor-facing charity.
