About JACKSONVILLE URBAN LEAGUE INC

The Jacksonville Urban League Inc. is a longstanding, donor-facing nonprofit affiliate of the National Urban League that delivers advocacy, education and workforce development, economic empowerment, housing support, and veterans services across Jacksonville/Duval County. Its program structure is organized into centers for Advocacy & Social Justice, Education & Workforce Development, and Economic Empowerment, and it operates a community learning hub (the Wells Fargo Historic Springfield Community Learning Center) to support training, small business development and financial literacy. The organization has been active in recent years running community forums, workforce and veteran support programs, capital campaigns (Community and Veterans Empowerment Center), and regular public events and trainings.

Notable achievements

75th Anniversary Milestone

Marked a major organizational milestone with public events and outreach celebrating more than seven decades of service to Jacksonville communities, reinforcing its longstanding local presence and networks.

Community & Veterans Empowerment Center Campaign

Launched a capital campaign to develop a Community and Veterans Empowerment Center focused on economic mobility, workforce development, small business growth and digital access, demonstrating a strategic investment in local infrastructure and veteran services.

Historic Springfield Community Learning Center (partnership)

Operates the Wells Fargo Historic Springfield Community Learning Center as a hub for workforce training, financial literacy, and small-business support in collaboration with corporate and community partners.
