Theatre Jacksonville is a volunteer-driven community theatre organization that produces year-round mainstage seasons and youth education programs. It is one of the oldest continuously operating community theatres in the United States and is widely recognized within the region for its historic Little Theatre building. In recent years Theatre Jacksonville has maintained active seasonal programming (including mainstage seasons through 2022–2025) and expanded its learning offerings — Theatre for Babies, Theatre for Explorers, Jr. Mainstage and summer camps — while stewarding a Next 100 Year endowment and receiving public arts support to sustain operations and outreach.

100th Anniversary (2019)

Theatre Jacksonville celebrated its centennial in 2019, marking continuous operation since its founding in 1919 and underscoring a century of local cultural contribution.

National Register Listing (1991)

The theatre's historic Little Theatre building was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1991, recognizing its architectural and cultural significance.

Sustained Seasons & Expanded Education (2022–2025)

Across 2022–2025 the organization produced multiple mainstage seasons and sustained year-round education offerings (Theatre for Babies, Theatre for Explorers, Jr. Mainstage and summer camps), while advancing its Next 100 Year endowment and securing public arts grant support to maintain programming and facility needs.
