About Clay County Habitat for Humanity Inc

Clay County Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International that partners with local families, volunteers, churches, businesses and civic groups to build and rehabilitate simple, decent, affordable homes across Clay County, Florida. The affiliate serves communities including Green Cove Springs, Middleburg, Orange Park, Keystone Heights and Penney Farms. The organization operates a Habitat ReStore that sells donated building materials, furniture and household goods to generate program revenue while diverting usable items from the landfill. Clay County Habitat combines volunteer construction teams, homeowner sweat equity and locally raised funds to provide zero-interest mortgages and other assistance to qualifying low-income families. In recent years the affiliate has continued active building and community programs: it reports a long history of housebuilding (185 Clay County Habitat homes to date), hosted collegiate volunteer build teams and in 2024 secured State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) funding to expand down-payment assistance for eligible county residents.
