FLORIDA STATE MUSIC TEACHERS ASSOCIATION, INC.

The Florida State Music Teachers Association (FSMTA) is a statewide nonprofit professional association affiliated with the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). FSMTA supports music teachers and students across Florida through teacher certification, continuing-education conferences and workshops, non‑competitive Student Day evaluations, statewide competitive events, and publication of The Florida State Music Teacher. FSMTA serves a large network of local and district associations (reported as roughly 23 local associations and nearly 800 members) and operates an associated Florida State Music Teachers Foundation that provides cash awards and scholarships to student winners of state-level competitions. The organization is an active, incorporated Florida nonprofit with ongoing statewide programming and recent conference and student-activity records from 2023–2025. Recent organizational activity includes annual conferences (most recently a 2024 mini‑conference), regular district and state student competitions and Student Day events (2023–2025 documentation and tally sheets), and continued administration of teacher-certification and student-award programs, as reflected in its 2023–2024 operating documents and Form 990 filings.
