About Jacksonville Public Libraries Foundation, Inc. (d/b/a Library Foundation of Jacksonville)

Verification: the EIN 59-2836110 has been confirmed as belonging to Jacksonville Public Libraries Foundation, Inc., a Florida 501(c)(3) corporation that operates publicly as the Library Foundation of Jacksonville (LFJ).

The Foundation exists to enhance the Jacksonville Public Library system by raising private philanthropic support for library programs, collections, outreach and operating needs that exceed what public funding provides. In the last 2–3 years the Foundation has been active in fundraising and program support (examples include new fundraising initiatives launched in 2024, donor-funded projects such as a StoryWalk opened on the LaVilla Link in December 2024, and the establishment/celebration of the Dr. Diana L. Greene Children's Reading Place in 2023). Recent public filings show the Foundation manages multi-million dollar assets and files annual Form 990 reports reflecting its role in sustaining library services and community programs.
