About NORTHEAST FLORIDA AIDS NETWORK INC

Northeast Florida AIDS Network (NFAN) is a Jacksonville-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides housing, nutrition, medical case management, health insurance premium assistance, and other supportive services to people living with HIV/AIDS and their families. The organization operates community-facing programs including a client food pantry, HOPWA housing services, medical nutrition therapy, and outreach/education in Northeast Florida. In the past 2–3 years NFAN has continued HOPWA-sponsored housing placements and large community fundraising and outreach events (Dining Out For Life, First Coast AIDS Walk) while reporting year-over-year service metrics on meals, case management, housing assistance and insurance support.

Meals Distributed

In a recent one-year reporting period NFAN provided 9,680 meals to 920 individuals through its Mary H. Lewis Food Pantry and client nutrition programs.

Housing Assistance & HOPWA Services

NFAN administers HOPWA-related housing supports and short-term rent/mortgage/utilities assistance, reporting housing assistance to roughly 410 families and operating permanent supportive housing placement programs for people living with HIV.

Medical Case Management & Insurance Support

The agency delivered medical case management to over 300 clients and provided health insurance premium assistance equal to thousands of months of coverage (2,649 months reported across ~333 individuals) along with medical nutrition therapy to dozens of clients.
