WE CARE JACKSONVILLE INC

We Care Jacksonville (WeCareJax) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded in 1993 by volunteer physicians from the Duval County Medical Society to expand access to specialty care for low-income and uninsured patients in Jacksonville, Florida. The organization matches pre-screened patients with volunteer specialty providers, hospital partners, and community clinics to provide timely specialty appointments and wrap‑around support that reduce reliance on emergency care.

In recent years WeCareJax has scaled its coordination role and partnerships: in the most recent fiscal reporting and organizational materials the charity reports coordinating millions of dollars in donated care, operating with hundreds of active volunteer providers, and serving roughly two thousand patients annually through thousands of specialty appointments and services. The organization continues to emphasize partnerships with local health systems, clinics, and funders to expand specialty care access for uninsured neighbors and to support cancer care and other high-need cohorts.
